Sadie's first job

My mom (Sadie's CeeCee) finally persuaded me to send Sadie's pictures in to the talent agencies in the Dallas area. One of them sent her on a few assignments at JC Penney's corporate headquarters in Plano. Apparently, at these photo shoots they send three babies for every one that they need in case one has a meltdown. This picture is from the first assignment we went to. If you get the Sunday paper, it is in this week's JC Penney ad.

Sadie was more interested in "reading" books in her new chair than actually hunting for eggs.

Playground & Bathtime Fun

With the nice spring weather, Sadie has taken a few trips to the toddler playground.

She has graduated to the big bathtub, which she loves (and is much easier for us!)

In March, Sadie went to Palestine to visit her Mimi for her birthday.

Updates

Sorry, it has been a while! Here is the latest:

• Sadie's first Christmas was a lot of fun. We haven't had a little one in the family for a long time and the holiday is so much more special with her around. She got a ton of toys, including a rocking "Bevo" longhorn, a baby doll, and a singing teddy bear.

Her favorite gift was this silly pig that vibrates and makes oinking noises. She loves it!

• Sadie started rice cereal on December 30th. She will take about two bites of it and then is completely uninterested. In addition to rice cereal, I have tried sweet potatoes, bananas, and peas and she will have none of it.

• We had Sadie's big, 5-month photo shoot with Juxtapose Photography on January 19th. The pictures came out great and in no way reflect her crabbiness that day.

• Sadie started really crawling on February 5th. Around the same time, she started sitting up and pretty much has that down too.

• On February 6th, I found her in her crib like this:

• It was time to lower the crib mattress. She loves to pull herself up to standing now and gets frustrated because she can't walk yet. Jeff and I have a feeling that it won't be too long before she does.
  

• Sadie turns 6 months next week on February 19th!
  

This is how I roll.

Sadie has now figured out how to roll over from her back to her tummy. She's on her tummy every time I check on her now in the crib.
